When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it produces vitamin D3, which is then converted into the 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐥.

 It usually takes about 15 minutes of sun exposure during this time for the body to produce enough vitamin D for the day.
